Arts Heritage

In 2004, Trent Hills Council approved a motion to acknowledge the village of Warkworth as a Designated Arts Community. It’s easy to see why.

Warkworth has become a regional hub for artistic endeavours. The old Warkworth Town Hall has been renamed the Warkworth Town Hall Centre for the Arts in honour of its new found purpose of promoting all forms of artistic expression. Spirit of the Hills, also know as the Northumberland Hills Arts Association, got its start here and continues to be a major influence on local artists. The Village of Warkworth is blessed with numerous galleries featuring local and regional artists. The Warkworth Business Association actively encourages artistic shows and events throughout the year, through ongoing exhibitions such as Warkworth Pop-up Art and Warkworth Art In the Park.
