Trent Hills Fire Department
The Municipality operates three fire departments: one in each ward of the Municipality, with a compliment of 57 dedicated and conscientious volunteer firefighters. Some outlying areas are covered under First Response agreements with neighbouring fire departments ensuring a high level of fire protection and medical aid assistance to all areas. The Fire Chiefs report to the Protective Services Committee on the third Tuesday of each month.

Trent Hills Police Services
The Trent Hills Police Services Board was established January 2001 and consists of five members:
- Two members of Council
- One community member appointed by Council
- Two members appointed by the Office of the Solicitor General
The Police Services Board is responsible for the provision of police services and for law enforcement and crime prevention to the Municipality of Trent Hills. The Board meets regularly on the fourth Thursday of each month at 2 o’clock in the afternoon in the Council Chambers at the Trent Hills Municipal Office, 66 Front Street South, in Campbellford. All policing issues should be addressed through the Board. Anyone wishing to bring forward a presentation to the Board may do so by contacting the Secretary at least ten days prior to a meeting.
